Use the Correct Manual Revision
Manufacturer manuals are updated regularly. Always confirm that the revision date and model suffix on the manual match your equipment exactly. Using an outdated version can result in incorrect wiring or fitting configurations.
Gather All Tools and Parts Before Starting
Review the tools and materials list at the beginning of the manual and have everything on hand before beginning installation. Stopping mid-installation increases the risk of errors and contamination.
Follow Torque Specifications
Fuel system fittings and fasteners have precise torque requirements. Over-tightening can crack components; under-tightening causes leaks. Always use a torque wrench and reference the spec table in the manual.
Comply with Local Codes
